Control Surveys

 **Looking to the future of the AHTD GPS and BM database, we are looking at options to create an interactive map with all of our up to date GPS and Benchmarks all around the State. 

GPS CORS Stations

AHTD currently operates & maintains seven (7) Reference Stations for Global Positioning Systems (GPS) that are part of the NGS National CORS program.  Data can be retrieved from the NGS User Friendly web site.

Surveys NGS Data

AHTD is currently working with NGS to establish Vertical and Horizontal Control around the State in order to densify its control network.  When establishing new Benchmarks, we can help verify and/or update old Benchmarks allowing the Geoid Model in the State of Arkansas to become more reliable. Since 2004 AHTD has been under the direct supervision of NGS’s Arkansas State Advisor, Brian Ward, for these Control Surveys. Under the direct supervision of NGS we are able to coordinate extensive Vertical Benchmark Level runs and GPS data collecting for Horizontal all being at NGS specifications.
