The Assistant Chief Engineer for Operations oversees the divisions of Construction, Maintenance, and Materials, as well as the ten highway districts around the state.  The Materials Division is responsible for all testing performed to ensure the quality of materials used in highway construction and maintenance. The ten highway districts supervise maintenance and construction activities in their assigned counties.
