A change in the Mix Design procedures
which will require calibration of the Superpave Gyratory Compactor according to
the latest version of AASHTO T 312 (Standard Method of Test for Preparing and
Determining the Density of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Specimens by Means of the
Superpave Gyratory Compactor) and TP 71 (Evaluation of Superpave Gyratory
Compactor (SGC) Internal Angle of Gyration Using Simulated Loading).

TECHNICIAN (Effective January 1, 2010)
The University of Arkansas Center for Training Transportation
Professionals (CTTP) is now conducting an ACI Concrete Strength Testing
Technician certification program. All
contractor, private testing lab or supplier technicians performing quality
control or acceptance sampling and testing on Department projects let
after January 1, 2010 must be certified under this program in order to
perform AASHTO Test Method T 22, Compressive Strength of Cylindrical
Concrete Specimens.
